When Andy Calloway and Chris Green met in a pub way back in 2005, they thought it would be a good idea to form a company doing web stuff. Seeing as Chris was a top-class graphic designer and Andy had read an article in “Computing” on programming, it seemed a match made in a brewery. They then spent the next two weeks and copious pub-lunches trying to decide what to call the company.

The barmaid, fed up with the constant calls for ‘MORE BEER!!’ finally shouted, “Calloway, Green, get out, you’ve had enough” and in that one sentence a company was born. This barmaid, flush from her success in having launched a company so successfully, now runs a marketing agency in Cyprus coming up with names for all sorts of organisations, we wish her luck.

Seriously though…

Chris Green does pictures that are very nice indeed. These are sometimes done in art using pens and paints but mostly (because it pays the bills) using PhotoShop or something. He’s really good, you can see some of his work on this site. Spiffing ‘aint it?

He has some kids and a wife.

Andy Calloway also has some kids and a wife, but that’s where the similarity ends. He’s much older (and looks it), ginger and enjoys real ale and pies rather too much. He’s also a programmer (having read a book now) but his main passion is Search Engine optimisation and he’s dead good at that.

The company’s been going for seven years now which must mean something.
