Very soon we’ll be invading Birmingham with a whole host of training seminars and courses designed especially for those companies in Birmingham and the surrounding areas. We are especially interested in working with people in industries who are adamant that SEO and good web design isn’t for them.

You know who you are, you think that the internet is for high-tech companies selling sat-nav devices and widgets containing triple-’A’ batteries. I’d like to point out now that you’re wrong, dead wrong.

The world is currently going through a massive change and many companies are going to the wall. Why? Well many of them have failed to change with the times. For some reason they have held on to the belief that technology is not for them.

However, technology is most certainly for you and by not embracing it you are potentially missing out on huge returns.

For example, manufacturing companies that have embraced the web and the ease of export (the ‘global village’ if you like) to sell their expertise to the world. Don’t get me wrong, your product can be made anywhere and probably cheaper, but if it were that black and white then there wouldn’t be any companies left in the UK at all.

But a lot of businesses are thriving and I’ll tell you why. They have overcome the barriers that held them back and taken to the web. They’ve sold their expertise to other countries and now they’re selling their products. Even as we speak, American companies are looking to the UK to find manufacturers that can provide components and products at the new lower rates caused by the falling pound.

How are they looking? Are they phoning the UK Yellow Pages? Do they have a bunch of BT Business Directories piled up in the foyer? No, they’re using the Internet.

So, as yourself these questions:

  • Does my company provide goods or service that can be exported?
  • Does my company have a website that advertises our goods and services?
  • Can anyone looking for our goods and services find our website?

You know the answers.
